How We Review Forex Brokers

Our goal is simple: give traders a clear, honest picture of each broker before they commit their capital. Every broker reviewed on ForexDealsPro goes through the same ten-point framework. Where information cannot be independently verified, we say so.

1

Regulatory Standing & Safety

Regulation is the single most important factor we evaluate. We classify every licence into three tiers and weight our verdict accordingly.

  • Regulatory tier — Tier 1 (ASIC, FCA, CySEC), Tier 2 (FSCA, DFSA), Tier 3 (offshore: FSA Seychelles, FSC Mauritius)
  • Number of licences and jurisdictions covered
  • Client fund segregation — confirmed at AA-rated banks or equivalent
  • Negative balance protection availability
  • Insurance schemes — Lloyd's of London, FSCS, investor compensation funds
  • Years of continuous operation — we weight brokers with 5+ years more favourably
2

Trading Costs & Spreads

We evaluate the full cost of trading, not just the headline spread figure advertised on the broker's website.

  • Typical EUR/USD spread — live conditions, not marketing figures
  • Commission structure per lot round-turn
  • Overnight swap and rollover fees
  • Deposit and withdrawal fees (internal charges)
  • Inactivity fees and their trigger conditions
3

Account Types

We assess whether the broker genuinely serves the full range of trader profiles — from first-time depositors to professional-grade accounts.

  • Range and variety of account types available
  • Minimum deposit requirements across each account
  • Islamic (swap-free) account availability
  • Demo account — availability, duration, and whether it mirrors live conditions
  • Professional or institutional account access
4

Platforms & Trading Tools

The platform is where a trader spends all of their time. We evaluate depth, reliability, and the quality of tools available.

  • Platforms supported — MT4, MT5, proprietary, web-based
  • Desktop, web, and mobile availability
  • Expert Advisor and automated trading support
  • VPS compatibility and latency
  • Charting capabilities and order types
  • Copy trading and PAMM infrastructure
5

Instruments & Market Access

We look at both the breadth and quality of instruments offered — a large number means nothing if the key pairs a trader needs are missing.

  • Total number of tradeable instruments
  • Asset classes covered — forex, indices, commodities, stocks, crypto, ETFs, bonds
  • Availability of exotic currency pairs
  • Liquidity and execution quality on major instruments
6

Education & Research

Education separates brokers that invest in their traders from those that simply take their money. We look for depth, regularity, and genuine usefulness.

  • Structured educational content — courses, videos, written guides
  • Live webinars — frequency, language availability, and topic depth
  • Daily market research and analysis
  • Economic calendar and analytical tools
  • Suitability of materials for beginner traders
7

Deposits & Withdrawals

A broker's deposit process is easy to evaluate. The withdrawal process is where the real character of the broker shows.

  • Number and variety of supported payment methods
  • Deposit processing speed
  • Withdrawal processing speed — e-wallets vs bank transfer
  • Any withdrawal conditions, holds, or restrictions
  • Crypto payment support
8

Account Verification & Onboarding

A friction-heavy onboarding process is a signal worth noting. We assess how straightforward it is to go from registration to live trading.

  • KYC process — documents required and complexity
  • Speed of account activation from submission to approval
  • Clarity of the onboarding steps
  • Any regional restrictions that affect verification
9

Customer Support

Support quality matters most when something goes wrong. We evaluate availability, language coverage, and response channels.

  • Languages supported
  • Support channels — live chat, email, phone
  • Availability hours — business hours only vs 24/5 or 24/7
  • Quality of responses to technical and account-related queries
10

Reputation & Track Record

Longevity and consistency matter. A broker that has operated without major incident for ten years is meaningfully different from one that launched recently.

  • Years in continuous operation
  • Industry awards and independent recognition
  • Any regulatory warnings, sanctions, or enforcement actions on record
  • Pattern of verifiable user feedback where available

Our Verdict Scale

Every review concludes with one of four verdicts, applied consistently across all criteria above.

✅ Strong Recommend
Tier 1 regulated, competitive costs, proven track record, broad instrument range, and strong support infrastructure. We would open an account here ourselves.
✅ Recommend — with conditions
A solid broker with one or more material caveats — such as most international clients falling under a Tier 3 entity, or a limited education offering. Worth considering, but read the conditions carefully.
⚠️ Neutral
Average performance across most criteria. No strong reason to choose this broker over better-regulated alternatives, but no major red flags either.
❌ Not Recommended
Regulatory concerns, a pattern of verified complaints, material withdrawal issues, or a track record that does not meet our minimum standards.
Transparency Note

ForexDealsPro publishes independent broker reviews based on the framework above. Our editorial content is not influenced by commercial relationships. Where affiliate links are present, they are clearly disclosed. We update our reviews when material changes occur — regulatory status, fee structures, or platform changes that affect our assessment.
